Thus, inspiration struck Meesha from day one; all at once the fine line between Earth’s natural landscape and humanity became blurred, yet underappreciated. Thankfully, her uncles entrusted her with painting signs, walls, and furniture for the family antique company, immediately invigorating her curiosity. She also benefited from the additional advantage of growing up in Miami, Florida, where tropical landscapes captivated her imagination.

It thereby begs the question: what is “home”? People come and go, leaving where they were raised for something bigger. Still, all people have one, true home–planet Earth. Shared beauty and interconnectedness are depicted in each of Meesha’s works. She asserts that art is one of the only universal languages because all living things can be traced back to one another, despite their superficial differences.

Art dissolves barriers and celebrates life itself, but modern-day lifestyles encourage most people to prioritize materialism above all else. Meesha’s ultimate goal is to help people reconnect with the fascinating world around them, knowing that there is more than meets the eye. Little nuances within each work of art seek to intrigue the mind. An organic quality encapsulates the natural beauty of Meesha’s experiential worlds and entices the viewer with its whimsical elements.

Typically, Meesha’s process begins with a carefully curated digital collage of meticulously hand-picked pieces. The incorporation of technological progression allows Meesha to articulately follow her artistic vision. This process also leaves plenty of room for nuances, like layers of paint over a high-quality cotton canvas that culminate into spotlighted areas, appearing to emanate a neon glow, reminiscent of the spiritual side of all living things.

A 30-year escapade into corporate America rendered Meesha’s artistic skills temporarily dormant. However, she always admired the vibrant colors of the natural world, stopping to gaze at tropical flora and fauna. Now, she is more inspired than ever before to breathe life into her artwork. In Meesha’s eyes, art could be the one thing that connects people on a deeper level, thanks to the beauty that surrounds us all.
